Pachycereus pringlei, also known as cactus pillar or Elephant cactus, is one of the largest and most impressive cacti in the world. This plant is native to the dry desert regions of northwestern Mexico and is notable for its enormous size.
It is one of the tallest cacti in the world, reaching heights of 20 metres (60 feet) or more. The trunk is up to 1.5 metres in diameter.
The tree trunk grows upright, branches out many times to form large pillars. The ribs of the tree are prominent, on which grow many long, hard thorns.
