A native plant of Ecuador, first scientifically described by André in 1883. Philodendron Mamei is commonly known as Philodendron 'Silver Cloud', because of its distinctive silvery-green mottling on the shiny, light green leaves, its tightly packed leaf folds, and its wavy petioles on both edges.
