Native to Brazil, Uruguay and Argentina, Rhipsalis cereuscula is easily recognised by its small, dense clusters of stems at the tips, forming dense bushes that are beautiful in small pots or hanging baskets.

Temperature

Rhipsalis is a tropical plant and does not tolerate frost or extreme cold. It should be protected from temperatures below 10°C (50°F). Cool temperatures below 27°C (80°F) will help Rhipsalis grow best.

Water 

Water moderately, only water when the soil is dry. Avoid waterlogging which will cause root rot.

Humidity

Rhipsalis prefers higher humidity than normal indoor air, ranging from 50%-70%.

pH

For Rhipsalis, a pH range of 5.5-6.5 pH is ideal (Slightly acidic to neutral).

Growing medium for Rhipsalis Cereuscula

Rhipsalis should be grown in well-drained, well-aerated soil or medium. A fertilizer or medium specifically designed for cacti and succulents can be used.
