Tillandsia caput-medusae has a unique shape with twisted and curved leaves, reminiscent of the head of Medusa from Greek mythology. The leaves are grey-green in color and have a hairy surface that absorbs moisture from the air. When in bloom, the plant produces red or purple flowers, creating a striking accent.
