Trachycarpus fortunei, commonly known as ship brush, brush or Chinese fan brush, is a palm species known for its slender trunk covered in thick fibres and lush green fan-shaped foliage. It can grow to between 6 and 15 metres in height, with neatly lobed leaves. A notable feature of this species is its ability to withstand cold better than many other palms, making it a popular choice even in temperate climates.

Trachycarpus fortunei is often planted in parks, villa gardens or as a decorative plant along walkways thanks to its elegant appearance and high adaptability. This palm species brings a luxurious tropical feel, suitable for creating a peaceful green space close to nature.
