Philodendron Gloriosum is a plant native to Colombia, also found in Southern Mexico, Central America, Venezuela, Ecuador, Peru and Western Brazil, first scientifically described by André in 1876, the name comes from the word 𝘨𝘭𝘰𝘳𝘪𝘰𝘶𝘴 meaning “magnificent, magnificent”. Philodendron Gloriosum has an iconic and classic beauty, is one of the most favorite indoor plants with round heart-shaped leaves, main and secondary veins of silvery white contrasting on the dark green velvety background. Unlike most epiphytic species of the Araceae family that root and climb on large tree trunks, Philodendron Gloriosum usually has rhizomes that grow horizontally and crawl on the ground.
