A native plant of Ecuador and Peru, currently in the process of being scientifically described and published by Dr. Croat, the name plowmanii is given in honor of the late botanist Timothy Charles Plowman (1944-1989). Philodendron Plowmanii has heart-shaped leaves with 2 rounded bases and often pointing inward to form a deep concave, the leaves are medium green, slightly shiny, with raised folds, often with mottled green streaks on the leaf surface. The petiole is flat, with 2 wavy curved edges, the junction between the petiole and the leaf is pale pink. The common forms of Philodendron Plowmanii are Blackface form, Silver form, Round form, Narrow form
