Dragon nests are no longer strange to many people who like to grow plants. But taking care of dragon nests is a little different from planting trees. Specifically, wrapping the nest for it, simply put, wrapping the dragon nest is "making a pot" for the tree.

After more than a year of "dragon training", Thu Thuy found that this is an extremely interesting plant. Thuy learned more about the knowledge and techniques of caring for dragon nests and then shared them with the community.

With the support of many players, since mid-2023 Thuy and some other friends have organized a series of events. Dragon Nest Wrapping Workshop took place in Ho Chi Minh City.

The second workshop was organized with the support of CONSAUNON, Anna's Garden, Silver Cloud Garden Kla.vn

This dragon nest wrapping workshop is divided into two parts, the first part will share necessary knowledge such as shape, structure, growth time, factors to pay attention to when caring for dragon nest plants.

You can now learn about dragon nest trees on Kla's Tree Library, where we compile information about plants, characteristics and how to grow them.

The second part of the workshop will be the practice of wrapping the dragon nest onto the board in the correct technique, quickly but still beautiful and sturdy. Participants will be guided step by step, practicing directly from the beginning until completing a dragon nest.

The organizers divided the workshop into three areas. One area is for those who have no experience wrapping. One area is for those who have some experience or have wrapped a dragon nest before. The remaining area is for families, where parents and their children will wrap a dragon nest together.

What is special is that the event is held at “garden of experience” extremely chill of Silver Cloud Garden, a place that is both a nursery and applies ornamental foliage to landscape. Participants can also visit the garden and choose to buy plants here if they like. Consider it a double-whammy.

Growing this dragon is also simple.

When I didn't understand the technique clearly, I thought growing this type of tree was very difficult. After growing it and being guided by friends, I realized that growing this type of tree is also simple.. Thuy shared.

Quoc, an event participant, shared: “I like to grow dragon nest because of its unique shape, and the way it grows epiphytically is more unusual than other plants.”

When asked if it is difficult to wrap a dragon's nest, Quoc shared more “When I watched the tutorial online, I couldn't do it, but after coming here and getting instructions from you guys, I found it much simpler.”

After guiding everyone to practice wrapping the dragon nest, the organizers will score and share more experiences.

Phuong Tien, who was judged by the Organizing Committee to win first prize, shared: “This is my first time wrapping because I only learned about dragon nests a few months ago. The hardest part for me was compressing the substrate and placing the plant in the right position.”

In addition, Hieu is from Anna's Garden, an experienced dragon caretaker also has a practical guide on how to separate seedlings. The main purpose of separating seedlings is to propagate and help the seedlings grow better.

Hieu shares one of the simple rules when dividing plants: "If you want the young plant to be healthy, separate it with more substrate. If you want the mother plant to be healthy, separate it with less substrate."

He also shares each step in the separation process and how to separate the dragon nest in the safest way. You can watch the full video of separating the tree on Kla's channels such as fanpage@theklavn, Tiktok@thekalvn.

The event is an extremely useful playground for those who are planting dragon nests, team Kla always accompany and support such meaningful activities.
