Tillandsia xerographica, also known as the “silver queen”, is a large species of Tillandsia with soft spiral leaves and a distinctive silver colour. The plant can reach up to 60 cm in diameter when mature. The flowers of this species grow from the centre, are red or purple, and can last for several months. Tillandsia xerographica is listed on Appendix II of CITES, indicating that the species is in danger of extinction.
