Aquatic plant
Aquatic plants are plants that have adapted to live in aquatic environments (saltwater, freshwater, or brackish water), including species that live completely submerged, float on the water surface, or have roots in the mud but their stems and leaves float.
Aquatic plants are very diverse, ranging from algae, water ferns, and duckweed to flowering species like water lilies and lotuses, and are commonly used in aquariums, fish tanks, or garden landscapes with water features.
Besides their decorative value, aquatic plants also help filter water naturally, provide oxygen, and create a hiding place for ornamental fish and shrimp. When choosing aquatic plants, it is necessary to pay attention to the light, CO2, and substrate nutrient requirements suitable for each species to ensure healthy growth and prevent algae outbreaks.
