Rhipsalis (Mistletoe)
Rhipsalis, also known as mistletoe or coral cactus, is a unique genus of tropical, spineless cacti native primarily to the rainforests of South America.
Unlike other familiar desert cacti, Rhipsalis is an epiphyte that grows on other trees in humid forests. Its slender, branching stems hang down like strings of coral or noodles, making it ideal for hanging pots as an ornamental plant.
Thanks to its thornless nature and gracefully trailing form, Rhipsalis is increasingly popular in urban jungle-style interior design. The plant prefers indirect light, high humidity, and watering when the substrate is slightly dry. Avoid direct sunlight as it can easily burn the stem.
